Woody Cottner

Linwood (Woody) Cottner is a native of Wichita, and is founder of Global Aviation Technologies LLC. As VP of Business Development and Acting Engineering Manager, Woody is responsible for management of the design/engineering group, business development, and oversight of all activities associated with successful aircraft modifications and new product development.
During his career, he has been involved in major aircraft certification programs such as:
- US Navy MD T45 Goshawk
- MD 88
- Boeing C17
- Learjet Model 45
- Hawker 4000
Woody held positions such of Senior Design Project Engineer II at Hawker Beechcraft and Design Specialist at Bombardier Aerospace. It was during his time at Bombardier when he heard a consistent message from aircraft owner’s that their out of production needs were not being met and decided to venture out to meet those needs.
In the industry for over 42 years and a retired veteran of 22 years in the US Air Force Reserves, his education consists of an Associates of Avionics Technology from Community College of the Air Force, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
Woody has been married to his wife and business partner Candace E. Cottner for 40 years. They have 3 adult children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
