Candace Cottner

A native of Wichita Kansas, Candace E. Cottner fills the operational position of Director of Operations overseeing the daily operations and all financial aspects of Global Aviation Technologies LLC. Prior to dedicating 100% of her time to GAT, she spent ten years in the financial industry at varying levels of management. Responsible for improving customer relations, balancing customer and employee satisfaction with profitability, and making important decisions she reported directly to the owners and executive level management regarding business operations efficiencies and deficiencies.

In April 2002, her husband Woody Cottner founded the family business after working in the aerospace industry for over 30 years. While in field service engineering, he heard a resounding message from owners of out-of-production aircraft that their modification needs were not being met by the OEMs. As primary owner and Managing Member of Global Aviation Technologies, Candace has been instrumental in implementing effective FAA and AS9100 approved production processes and procedures, while guaranteeing the team remains focused on safety and customer satisfaction. She has been integral in the administration of the company’s Human Resource management, accounting, budgeting and proposal writing. It is Candace’s goal to continue growing the company by fostering mutually equitable relationships through increased exporting.

In 2006, Candace was influential in fostering legislative relationships resulting in over $2m in subcontracting opportunities for GAT with the United States military and over $35MM in prime opportunities more recently. Her education consists of a Bachelor of Business Management from Friends University and graduating magna cum laude from Baker University with her Master of Business Administration.

Happily married to Woody C Cottner for over 40 years, she holds dear 3 adult children, 8 grand-children and 3 great-grandchildren.
