Renee Duxler

Renee Duxler is an MSW and has been a social worker, business woman, and community developer for over 20 years. She is a graduate of both Kansas State University and Newman University, and currently serves as the Director of Economic & Workforce Development for the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce. She’s worked in the fields of HIV/AIDS care, early childhood education, child abuse and neglect, and domestic violence/sexual assault advocacy, and has always especially been committed to supporting women, children, and families.
Prior to joining the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, Renee served as the Executive Director for the Douglas Design District in Wichita KS, where she was able to participate in urban planning and its effect on economic opportunity and development, public health, mental health, and community connectivity and access. She also served as the Project Lead for the mentorship program at Dress for Success Wichita, a program that paired women in the community together to build confidence and professional skills around civic engagement, networking, and community involvement.
Renee earned a Diversity Award from the Wichita Business Journal in 2018, and earned a SHEro Alumni Award from Newman University in 2019. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of the Heartland Kansas, and Humanities Kansas.
