Shannon Dick

Shannon Dick is a proud graduate of Garden City High School (1998) and Garden City Community College (2000). Then at Kansas State University he obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in Statistics. Following graduation he worked as a Statistician for the statistical software company StatSoft before moving to Garden City in 2011. Back in Garden City he started a statistical consulting firm, Western Kansas Statistical Lab, and had clients such as Kansas State University Research and Extension, Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services, LiveWell Finney County, the City of Garden City, among many others. In 2016 Shannon joined the Finney County Economic Development team and is currently their Director of Analytics. Shannon is also active civically and has served on the board of directors for LiveWell Finney County, High Plains Housing Development Corporation, Great Plains MakerSpace, multiple committees and work groups, and is currently the vice-mayor of Garden City. He strives to make data understandable and useful for the advancement of southwest Kansans.
