Mid-Kansas Cooperative
Brad Stedman has served as President and CEO of Mid-Kansas Cooperative (MKC) since April 2020. MKC, headquartered in Moundridge, KS, is a full-service cooperative offering a complete line of supplies and services for both farm and urban customers throughout Kansas and the surrounding states. Core businesses consist of grain, agronomy, energy, feed, and risk management. MKC has a current membership of over 11,000 member-owners and an additional 8,000 customers through a wholly owned independent ag retailer, Mid-West Fertilizer.
MKC was founded in 1965 by the merger of three neighboring cooperatives in central Kansas and today has 630 employees. The cooperative serves customers through MKC locations, Mid-West Fertilizer, and Producer Ag (MKC’s grain marketing and risk management division).
Currently, Brad serves on multiple board of directors for business partnerships where MKC has interests. Brad serves as the Chairman of ProducerAg in addition to serving on the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Executive Council, WinField United CEO Advisory board, ACES board of directors, and the Arthur Capper Cooperative Center Advisory board. He has previously served on the Agricultural Retailers Association board of directors.
Brad grew up on a family farm south of Omaha, Nebraska where his family still farms today. His experience in the industry began in 1991 when he went to work for Farmland Industries in South Dakota. He has held leadership roles across multiple states in the cooperative system. Some of these roles include: sales management, marketing, supply chain, consulting and strategy. Brad and his wife, Kerry, reside in Andover, KS with their two daughters.
