Dr. Arwiphawee Srithongrung
Associate Professor
Dr. Arwiphawee Srithongrung is Associate Professor of Public Administration in the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs at Wichita State University, where she teaches public budgeting, public capital financial management and state-local economic development.
Professor Srithongrung has expertise in state-local capital budgeting and financial management including public infrastructure spending, regional economic growth, and public performance measurement. Her research interests include public capital budgeting and financing, public performance measurement, international fiscal policies and regional economic growth as well as state-local infrastructure financing.
Her publications have appeared in Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, Public Budgeting & Finance, Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management, International Journal of Public Administration, International Public Management Review, Journal of Public Work, Management, and Policies, and Chinese Journal of Public Administration. Professor Srithongrung has also published a textbook on public budget analysis, Essential Skills in Analyzing Public Budget.
In addition to teaching and research, Professor Srithongrung has participated in assisting local governments including City of Omaha Nebraska in forecasting the city budgets, and state government in estimating the impacts of state charitable tax credits on state government revenue, as well as sales taxes and regional economic development policies in the State of Kansas.
